وجدت الترجمتين في أكثر من قاموس، لكن أعتقد طرفي أدق هنا لتمييزها عن الإستعمالات الأخرى لمحيط/محيطي --خالد حسني ١٤:٣٧, ٢١ مارس ٢٠٠٧

well it is a greek word which means محيطي

في الإنكيزية و الفرنسية كلمة مستعملة يومياً:

a la peripherie = around

boulevard périphérique = a big street around the city

perimetre = the length of the surounding

periscope = the optical device in a submarine to look around at 360 degrees

péripatéticienne = ??? well you better look for it by yourself
