Dec 31, 2001: VIM with Arabic Support Ready

The Arabeyes Project is proud to announce that VIM (the text editor) is ready for use. In the words of Nadim, "VIM and Arabic are VERY usable - go for it!"

Nadim notes that what's left for Arabic in VIM is:

  • Addition of complex character handling
  • Addition of Bidi
  • Incorporation of Arabeyes VIM patches into the VIM main trunk

Check the VIM Status page for more details.
